Deadly explosives and gun fight at Belgian court
At least two people have been killed and dozens more injured in a gun and grenade attack in Belgium.
It is reported two men threw several explosive devices and fired gunshots in the main square of Liege, which is about 90 kilometres east of the capital Brussels.
The city’s courtroom is also said to have been hit by a grenade. One of the attackers has been shot dead by police according to Belgian media. He was said to have been throwing explosives into a bus stop from the roof of a bakery.
Liege’s Attorney General Cédric Visart de Bocarmé has said that around 40 people are slightly injured while seven are seriously wounded, one of whom is a young child whose injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
